Hemp granola

Granolas are renowned for being very rich in energy and nutrients, thanks to the presence of many nuts and dried fruits. You can make them even more energetic and complete with hemp seeds!
They're packed with easily digestible plant proteins, omegas 3 & 6 and the 8 amino acids the body needs AND they're vegan!
Ingredients for 10 dough pieces :
  • 300g rolled oats
  • 180g of a mixture of seeds, nuts and dried fruit: almonds, hazelnuts, pumpkin seeds, shelled and/or whole hemp seeds , raisins, cranberries, etc.
  • 2 tablespoons coconut oil
  • 4 to 5 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 pinch of fleur de sel
  • Optional: chocolate chips and/or shredded coconut (add after baking).
Steps :

  1. Preheat oven to 150°C (gas mark 6). Crush the walnuts and hazelnuts and, in a large bowl, mix the rolled oats with the mixture of seeds, nuts and dried fruit. Heat the coconut oil in a bain-marie, then add to the mixture and stir. Add the maple syrup and stir.
  2. Finish by adding the cinnamon and vanilla, then mix well.
  3. Place the mixture on a baking sheet lined with baking parchment and spread.
  4. Bake for 30 to 40 minutes. The oats must be golden brown for the mixture to be crisp. Don't hesitate to extend the baking time if the oats are not sufficiently colored.
  5. Once cooked, leave to cool for 30 minutes on greaseproof paper outside the baking tray.
  6. Before bottling, mix one last time in a bowl with the chocolate chips and/or grated coconut.

Store granola in an airtight jar, in a cupboard away from light and moisture. Like Muesli GRANOLA goes naturally with dairy products for breakfast or snacks: plant milk (hemp), fermented milk, yoghurt, cottage cheese, etc.
