The benefits of CBG and CBD for painful periods and endometriosis

CBD interacts directly with the body via the central endocannabinoid system (CES) located within the nervous system. It has affinities with various receptors and enzymes, enabling it to act as a regulator of the human body's homeostasis. It helps maintain a balance in a number of physiological processes, such as pain, mood, weight, stress and sleep.

The anti-inflammatory action of CBD and CBG will be of particular interest to us in terms of their benefits for painful periods andendometriosis. Thanks to their action on CB2 receptors (present throughout the body: organs, intestines, muscles, etc.), cannabidiol and cannabigerol have a strong anti-inflammatory role, as well as reducing cell migration:

  • CBD is an inverse agonist of CB2 receptors and plays a role in inhibiting immune cell migration and reducing inflammation. In this way, CBD and CBG not only reduce the symptoms of inflammation, but also limit its spread by reducing the proliferation of the cells concerned.
  • It activates TRPV1 receptors responsible for regulating several inflammatory agents
  • Inhibits the activity of COX1 and COX2 enzymes, which produce prostaglandins (a mediator of inflammation)
  • It antagonizes the GPR55 receptor, thereby reducingIL12 production, which is pro-inflammatory

In a nutshell, CBD and CBG reduce the feeling of pain and limit the development and spread of inflammation via their interaction with different receptors present throughout the body.

In addition to this anti-inflammatory action, cannabinoids, through their effect on the body's homeostasis, help to put the organism in the right conditions to cope with pathologies.
A good mood, less stress, good sleep... enough to be strong and solid in the face of illness!

Inflammation at the heart of pathologies

The main female pathologies are affected by inflammation:

Endometriosis

PCOS

Premenstrual Syndrome

CBG: an ally for painful periods

Why have we chosen CBG as the main cannabinoid in our formula dedicated to the feminine apparatus and its everyday aches and pains?

Quite simply because CBG has a very strong anti-inflammatory and sedative action, and according to some scientific studies may even be more powerful than CBD. Less well known, it is often forgotten and overlooked in comparison with CBD, which is THE feel-good cannabinoid, but there's every reason to believe that it is just as beneficial as the latter.

When it comes to the pain and symptoms associated with intimate female conditions such as endometriosis, PCOS or simply very painful periods, CBG is the most effective cannabinoid according to studies and research. In fact, it acts on inflammation and pain reduction linked to menstrual cramps or pelvic pain, and could even play a role in reducing belly swelling in the case of endometriosis and its well-known symptom, "endo belly" (painful swelling of the belly linked to endometriosis, occurring in crises or "flare-ups").

FAQ

Can CBD replace treatment?

No, CBD is not a medicine and should not be taken as a substitute for medical treatment. We always recommend consulting a doctor before taking CBD.

Cannabidiol is a powerful anti-inflammatory that can be used to treat various female pathologies, but it cannot replace medical treatment.

What is Full Spectrum CBD oil?

Our joint capsules are made with Full Spectrum CBD oil. In other words, the oil is extracted with all the cannabinoids of the cannabis plant (CBD, CBN, CBG, THC...).

This type of extraction produces the most potent and effective oil, since it has the "entourage effect" resulting from the global action of all the cannabinoids acting in synergy, which is more effective than an oil without THC, for example.

Bien entendu, le taux de THC reste infime et légal (<0,3%).

What dosage should I use for my feminine oil?

The recommended dosage will vary according to the pathology you wish to support. One drop of oil = 10mg of CBG:

No particular pathologies, taken to accompany painful periods and for the well-being of the menstrual cycle: 40 to 60 mg of CBG per day, i.e. 4 to 6 drops.

Declared pathologies (endometriosis, PCOS, premenstrual syndrome...): 60 to 160mg of CBG per day

  • Major symptoms (regular moderate pain): 60 to 90mg, i.e. 6 to 9 drops
  • Very severe symptoms (strong, almost daily pain, disabling daily life): 90 to 130mg, i.e. 9 to 13 drops (160mg maximum).

Stick to your dosage for 10 days, then increase it if you don't feel any particular improvement.

This dosage is established in compliance with European legislation on foodstuffs.

Directions for use :

Take in three parts, morning, noon and evening, after each meal, with the mouth cavity clear:

  1. Shake your bottle of oil (just to be on the safe side, it's not compulsory).
  2. Place 4 drops of sleep oil under your tongue
  3. Leave on for 30 seconds to 1 minute without swallowing (so that the oral mucosa can absorb the oil), then swallow the residue.

See our feminine oil fact sheet to find out more.

How do I take CBD oil?

We recommend distributing the required number of drops in three stages after each meal (breakfast, lunch and dinner), then place the drops of oil corresponding to your dosage under the tongue. Do not swallow, just let them dissolve on their own.

The sublingual route ensures optimum absorption of CBD oil, since it is directly absorbed by the mucous membranes, reducing the loss of molecules (unlike digestion, for example).

If you're just starting out, stick to your dosage for 10 days and don't change it even if you don't feel any benefits in the meantime, as you need to let your body adapt to the molecule.

And, of course, our oil bottles come with a small pipette that makes it easy to place the drops under the tongue, drop by drop, so as not to exceed the dosage required for each dosage.

Can CBD interact with drugs?

Yes, it's possible, and we don't talk about it enough! In fact, cannabidiol can interact with various molecules found in medicines. No risk or danger to health, however, drug interaction can diminish or cancel out the effect of the drug and/or CBD.

We have set up a CBD oil user guide with a " Drug Interaction " section (part 7) listing the various molecules with which CBD should not be consumed. Find out more before consuming CBD oil.

What other solutions are there for women's problems?

Many treatments are possible depending on the pathology, but it is also possible to relieve your pain (cramps, stomach aches...) using alternative methods such as :

  • Hot-water bottle on lower abdomen
  • Herbal teas
  • Natural plants
  • Essential oils

A blend of hemp oil and MCT coconut oil for immediate action

Most women's diseases (endometriosis, PCOS, PMS, PMDD or vulvar pain) have one thing in common: they are triggered by "attacks" or "flare-ups", and the associated symptoms (pain, cramps, swelling, fatigue...) erupt from one moment to the next.

To best support these moments of crisis, we have chosen MCT coconut oil (100% natural coconut oil containing the energetic fatty acids capric acid and caprylic acid) as our carrier oil.

Coconut MCT oil enables CBD to be ingested more easily by the body, thus accelerating its bioavailability (CBD being fat-soluble, it is best ingested with fats). This allows the person to consume the oil from the very start of the attack, so as to feel the benefits as soon as possible and support the attack as best as possible, limiting inflammation and pain from the outset.

The Full Spectrum and the entourage effect

The cannabinoids (CBD, CBN, CBG...) are extracted using a supercritical CO2 extraction method to obtain an oil known as "Full Spectrum".
This method preserves all the plant's components (cannabinoids including THC, flavonoids, terpenes...), generating an entourage effect with enhanced benefits.

Entourage effect for optimum action

The entourage effect means that the presence of all the components of the cannabis plant makes the oil more potent, with an enhanced impact on the body. The various components act synergistically, potentiating each other to offer increased benefits for the human body, enabling better support for pathologies.

In our opinion, it was important for an oil dedicated to women's comfort to be full spectrum, since the pathologies it is intended to support are serious ones with very serious symptoms and effects on the body. The presence of all cannabinoids, including THC (in compliance with the maximum concentration of 0.3%, of course), enables in-depth action for effective benefits.

Female pathologies supported by CBD and CBG

Bearing in mind that each organism reacts differently to cannabinoids, being more or less receptive, according to various scientific studies and our experience, CBG and CBD can accompany all female pathologies with inflammatory symptoms or related pain.

Through their sedative anti-pain and anti-inflammatory action, CBD and CBG accompany :

  • Very painful periods (particularly menstrual cramps)
  • Endometriosis
  • PCOS : Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome
  • PMS : Premenstrual Syndrome
  • PMDD : Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder
