What are CBD tablets?

CBD lozenges are much less well known than CBD oil, yet just as beneficial and interesting. The result of an exclusive, patented process, lozenges are a handcrafted product with a 100% natural composition (no synthetic additives).

To tell you more about this product, we'll explain its features.

CBD lozenges are a very interesting product for people wishing to take CBD in response to pathologies. Indeed, we've heard a lot about CBD oil, but their sister product, lozenges, are just as effective, and are administered by a different route.

Administered perlingually, the lozenges act directly via the mucous membranes of the palate and cheeks. CBD will therefore be able to penetrate quickly and fully, which is why this product offers one of the best bioavailabilities of CBD.

CBD lozenges are made with cannabidiol extracted from certified organic hemp. Made from organic acacia gum (sugar- and aspartame-free, pesticide-free, GMO-free, preservative-free, coloring-free, lactose-free and gluten-free), they contain no traces of THC (and therefore no psychotropic agents), and no fat.

A healthy, natural product!

As mentioned above, CBD lozenges are a product of an exclusive, patented process, the manufacturer is a French family business certified organic by VERITAS FR-BIO-10, all lozenge components are certified 100% organic and natural.

The main product used in the design of the lozenges is acacia gum, a product recognized for its multiple benefits, such as its richness in soluble fiber, excellent for a healthy diet, or its effect of supporting the intestinal barrier by strengthening it. Of course, acacia gum is 100% natural and organic, so you get a product that's 100% well-being.

In fact, thanks to this process and natural composition, our CBD lozenges are :

  • 100% natural
  • 100% vegan
  • 100% organic
  • Made in France

FAQ

CBD lozenges, a non-greasy product

Unlike CBD oil, lozenges are a non-greasy product. In fact, the oil (as the name suggests) is a fat (whether hemp, coconut, rapeseed or flaxseed oil...), which means that when you ingest the oil, you're also ingesting fat.

The advantage of CBD lozenges is that no fat is ingested. What's more, they may be easier to dose for some people than CBD oil drops. This is because the lozenges are administered perlingually, so all you have to do is place it on your tongue and let it melt. There's no need to count the number of drops of oil, and be careful not to use more (or less!) than desired.

What is the perlingual route?

This is when a product is assimilated by the lingual and buccal mucosa, so it passes directly into our bloodstream and bioavailability is optimized.

Thanks to the perlingual route, the action of the lozenges is smoother and longer-lasting than when CBD oil is taken sublingually. The lozenge will remain in the mouth longer, diffusing the cannabidiol over a longer period (even if the dosage is the same).

Bioavailability of CBD lozenges

The perlingual route (along with the sublingual route) is one of the best ways of administering CBD, offering one of the best levels of bioavailability.

In fact, as metabolism takes place directly in the buccal mucosa (more precisely, in the glands), it avoids the loss of bioavailability that occurs with the traditional oral route, as it allows the molecule to circulate directly via the bloodstream (after penetrating the mucous membranes), which enhances bioavailability.

CBD lozenges are therefore the perfect product for ingesting cannabidiol!

Can I mix CBD lozenges and oil?

It's possible! In fact, since CBD lozenges contain natural products and a certain concentration of CBD (generally 5 or 10mg per lozenge), if you pay attention to the concentration of your oil, you can use CBD lozenges as a supplement to an oil intake and vice-versa.

Be careful, though: check your oil's concentration (CBD percentage) to make sure you don't exceed the maximum level of CBD that the human body can receive via the endocannabinoid system, i.e. 160mg.

When combining tablets and oil, make sure you calculate carefully so as not to exceed this threshold.

Do lozenges contain THC?

No! they're devoid of all traces of THC, so they have no psychotropic effect and are one of the healthiest products in our range.

Avoid the first-pass effect with CBD lozenges

"Can I chew my CBD lozenges?", or "Why do I have to let my lozenges melt?", we get asked these kinds of questions regularly, we're going to tell you why!

It's important not to chew the lozenges, as this would reduce their bioavailability (when a product's active ingredient becomes available to deliver its benefits to the body). In fact, when CBD lozenges melt, they pass directly through the mucous membranes into the bloodstream.

In this way, they make cannabidiol bioavailable to the body in a much more "complete" way than by ingestion, where a great deal of bioavailability is lost and partly destroyed during ingestion.

How does it work?

Dosage CBD lozenges

First and foremost, we want to educate you about cannabidiol and its benefits. To do so, we've put together a variety of materials:

An automatic dosage calculator based on various factors (pathology category, weight, age) applies multiplication coefficients to each combination to determine the optimal daily dosage for your profile and pathology.

A guide to the use of CBD oil (based on the oil, but working in the same way for the lozenges since we're talking about mg of CBD) explaining how the molecule interacts with the human body and the nervous system, the benefits it can have for different pathologies, drug interactions...

An explanatory flyer is included in every parcel!
